Captain Ibrahim Traoré has officially inaugurated the Pô Kapro Dam, fulfilling a promise that communities had been waiting for since the 1960s. What previous governments failed to accomplish over decades was completed in just eight months.
The new dam, stretching nearly 700 meters and capable of storing 1.1 million cubic meters of water, is expected to transform agriculture, expand fish farming, improve water security, and create new economic opportunities for thousands of families.
