Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) Policy

Effective Date: July 23, 2026

The RasTafari TV Network (“RTV”), a cultural preservation initiative of SITEMEDIA, respects the intellectual property rights of others and complies with the United States Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), 17 U.S.C. § 512.

If you believe that material available on Rastafari.TV infringes your copyright, please notify us using the procedure outlined below.

Filing a Copyright Infringement Notice

If you are a copyright owner or an authorized representative, your written notice must include:

Your full legal name and contact information.
Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed.
The URL or specific location of the allegedly infringing material.
A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner.
Your physical or electronic signature.

Our Response

Upon receiving a valid DMCA notice, we may:

Remove or disable access to the material.
Notify the member who submitted the content.
Request additional information if necessary.
Take any other action required by applicable law.

Submitting a notice does not automatically determine that infringement has occurred.

Counter Notification

If you believe your content was removed in error or misidentified, you may submit a counter notification containing:

Your full name and contact information.
Identification of the material that was removed and its previous location.
A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed due to mistake or misidentification.
Your consent to the jurisdiction of the appropriate federal court if required under the DMCA.
Your physical or electronic signature.

If we receive a valid counter notification, we may restore the material as permitted by law unless the original complainant files a legal action within the time allowed by the DMCA.

Repeat Infringer Policy

Members who repeatedly submit content that infringes the intellectual property rights of others may have their content removed, their membership suspended, or their accounts permanently terminated.

Fair Use

RasTafari TV Network is an educational and cultural preservation archive. Some materials may appear under the principles of Fair Use or other applicable legal exceptions for purposes such as:

Education
Scholarship
Research
Commentary
Criticism
Documentary production
News reporting
Cultural preservation

The receipt of a DMCA notice does not automatically mean material is infringing. Each claim is reviewed individually.

Good Faith Requirement

Knowingly submitting false or misleading copyright claims or counter notifications may result in legal liability under applicable law.

We full-courage all parties to carefully evaluate their rights before submitting a notice.

Preservation of the Historical Record

As a permanent cultural archive, RTV may retain limited internal preservation records of removed materials where permitted or required by law. Such retained records are maintained solely for archival integrity, legal compliance, or historical documentation and will not remain publicly accessible after a valid removal action, unless restoration is permitted under applicable law.
