“We are marching looking for jobs for our children, we are also not working but it’s better if the kids start first. We have visited several firms, and now we are here at the Komatsu firm. We want to find ways to get them hired so foreigners with no documents can leave.”

STORYLINE:
Protesters in the outskirts of Johannesburg marched in different parts of their towns on Thursday to rally against immigration and demand jobs from local firms they claim have hired migrants who are in the country illegally.
Protesters marching through the South African town included young men carrying traditional fighting sticks, shovels, and women of all ages.
Some wore the South African flag and sang liberation songs.
Protest leaders, told The Associated Press that some firm owners had told them they would hire South Africans, while others had said they were replacing foreign nationals with South Africans.
