Jabulani Tafari was live on location at the Haile Selassie High School on Payne Avenue in West Kingston, Jamaica, documenting the school’s Founder’s Day commemoration on Tuesday, April 21st, 2026. The annual Founder’s Day celebration commemorates the founding of the school by Ethiopian King H.I.M. Emperor Haile Selassie I during his State Visit to Jamaica in 1966. The grand finale of the 2026 Founder’s Day activities was a Nyahbinghi drumming and chanting session – a Rastafari Groundation – led by members of the Ancient Theocratic Order. Video-journalist I.
