People are often surprised when I tell them that I grow much of my own food right here in Nairobi, Kenya. In this episode, I’m taking you on a full tour of my urban food garden to show you what’s possible, even if you don’t have a large farm.
From sweet bananas and plantains to avocados, maize, sweet potatoes, pumpkins, herbs, cassava, cucumbers and leafy greens, this garden has become much more than a hobby. It’s my way of growing fresh, nutritious food for my family, reducing food waste, living more sustainably, and learning something new every season.
