IHUD- Sunday Evening Amharic Mezmur – Psalm24.0002_NEW.mp4
The Ethiopic Psalms of David (MEZMURE DAWIT) as translated by H.H. Ras Iadonis Tafari from the Royal Shoan Amharic of the 1961 Authorized Haile Selassie I Holy Bible, also known as the book of the seven seals. (Revelation of St. John Chapter 5)
Exclusive excerpt from the upcoming book by brother Rasiadonis H.I.M. HAILE SELASSIE I BIBLE/ THE ETHIOPIC BOOK OF THE SEVEN SEALS (working title), It was said that the book was in the press as the fascist aggression began to decimate the blameless inhabitants who fought fearlessly for their GOD, their beautiful and rich country, and their courageous and righteous Sovereign. The completed copies were circulated via Xerox and mimeograph during the Italo-Ethiopian war and the Exiles who sojourned abroad until Liberation. His Valiant Majesty redoubled His efforts for Liberation of His country and the further strengthening of the Tewahdo Faith of the Orthodox Church. It would be almost twenty-five (25) years later that the learnt scribes and team assembled personally by the Emperor were able to present a completed text that met with approval after years of diligent translation and comparison with the Hebrew, Greek and indigenous books, scrolls and manuscript codexes.
Thus, the pure language version (refer to Zephaniah 3:9) of the Holy Scriptures of Imperial Ethiopia was the fulfillment of the expressed desire of the Conquering Lion of the Tribe of Judah, H.I.M. Haile Selassie I, the Elect of GOD, King of Kings of Ethiopia, and was first announced and published in 1961 A.D. in Ethiopia. Subsequently, it was made available for the faithful community of Ethiopians globally and bible scholars through the United Bible Societies in 1962 A.D. (based upon Ras Iadonis Tafaris original 1991 draft manuscript)
Rastafari are criticised, particularly by so-called [[Christian]] groups, for taking Biblical quotes out of context, for [[Cafeteria Christianity|picking and choosing]] what they want from the Bible, and for bringing elements into Rastafari that do not appear in the white Eurocentic (gentile) Christianity or the popular King James version of the Bible. They are also criticised for using an English language translation (particularly the [[KJV|King James Version]]) of the Bible, as many have no interest in [[Hebrew language|Hebrew]] or [[Greek language|Greek]] [[Scholarly method|scholarship]]. However, since 1991/92 with the rise of the Lion of Judah Society ((http;//groups.yahoo.com/group/lionofjuda)) by Ras Iadonis Tafari as the first ‘Ethiopic’ (non-Greek) letter “fraternity” at Brooklyn College (County of Kings), New York City (City University of New York). Since then, there as been a great and increasing interest amongst Rastafarians, Ethiopians and Christians in general in the Royal Amharic and Ethiopian Orthodox version, authorized by special command and commission of H.I.M. Haile Selassie I ((http://www.bible.org/foreign/amharic/)) between the pivotal years of 1931-1961. Thus, due to the Tewahdo-based ministry activities of these “Lion of Judah” fraternity and sorority ((http://www.lojsociety.org))Rastafarians who have accepted the “Book of the Seven Seals”, the H.I.M. HOLY BIBLE ((http://www.bible.org/foreign/amharic/)). This African-American born bredren, Ras Iadonis Tafari, is said to be to be amongst the first of the ‘New Day’ Rastafari and self-proclaimed Hebrew-Ethiopians or “Ethiopian-Hebrews” to reveal these sacred Imperial Ethiopian manucripts (called ‘scrolls’), teaching and encouraging the complete Ethiopic education of the Royal Amharic (Zephaniah 3:9-10) of the “King of Kings of Ethiopia” via the authorized Amharic bible, thus ushering in a more rooted, modern and progressive movement amongst the Rastas, at home and abroad. His Imperial Majesty, Haile Selassie I Himself wrote in the preface to this version that “unless [one] accepts with clear conscience the Bible and its great Message, he cannot hope for salvation,” thus confirming and coinciding with what the Rastafari themselves had been preaching since the beginning of the movement ([http://www.jah-rastafari.com/selassie-words/show-jah-word.asp?word_id=bible Words of Ras Tafari]).
