Meet Kenya’s karate grannies – the women who fight off sex attackers in the slums of Nairobi. In Nairobi’s Korogocho slum many women, especially the elderly, fall victim to rape. One single mother decided enough was enough and began to train herself in martial arts. Three years she now teaches elderly women in Korogocho the art of Karate and inspires them to learn how to defend themselves.
