I am safe. The challenge is real. Now we rise together after Hurricane Melissa

Dear family, friends, members of our sovereign community,

I write from the heart and, with help from the Almighty God, just returned to the United States after 12 days of complete grid-down conditions following Hurricane Melissa in Jamaica. No electricity. No running water. No WiFi. No phone service except by driving to the airport roadside. Banks closed. ATM machines are down, and there is a shortage of currency. Supermarkets shuttered. Gas lines are endless. Trees and vegetation obliterated. The island looks burnt. Food and clean water are nearly gone in many areas.

I want you to know: I am safe, thankfully. I and our team found a spring near Villa Lalibela for water; a guest with a car helped logistics; we are intact. But many others are not so fortunate. I witnessed entire communities without help, waiting. I saw the failure of infrastructure, leadership, emergency services in action.

This crisis in Jamaica is not just a local event — it is a warning sign for what is coming globally. We must stop relying exclusively on failing systems and start learning how to thrive, not merely survive. That is why we are now mobilizing the EAT Jamaica Edition, anchored in energy sovereignty, food/seed systems, water independence, community-transport, regenerative housing, and spiritual/collective empowerment.

I am taking with family to process, rejuvenate the mind, spirit and body and to join with like minds to mobilize. Together, we will we will rebuild, re-organize, and uplift Jamaica’s communities — from urban to rural, from home to diaspora.

Together, we will collaborate and delegate responsibilities by each playing a role in creating lasting wealth, dignity, self-reliance, and global interdependence.

Together we will restore identity, sovereignty, community systems of mutual aid, and build structures that can withstand future shocks — climatic, infrastructural, economic. The old system has failed us. We no longer wait. We act. We build. We rise.
