August 1: Emancipation Day

A fierce defender of Ethiopia’s sovereignty, he led the divine victory at the Battle of Adwa—humbling European colonizers. He even made his Empress Taitu, military leader. And their laid the foundation for modern Ethiopia. Today on the born day of Emperor Menelik II, we are united under the banner of ancient truth.”
August 17: Marcus Garvey Earthstrong

Born in St. Ann’s Bay, Jamaica in 1887, Garvey sparked a global fire for Black unity and repatriation. His vision gave rise to the Rastafari Movement—and a worldwide awakening still unfolding.”
August 23: UNESCO Slave Trade Remembrance

August 25: Ethiopian World Federation Established
