Dr. Trevor Dixon, founder and CEO of the JAHJAH Foundation, to receive the Order of Distinction (OD) in the rank of officer (Jamaica) for his work in Jamaica via the JAHJAH Foundation. The National Honours and Awards ceremony will be held on National Heroes Day, October 20, 2025, in Jamaica. Congratulations to Dr. Dixon and the JAHJAH Foundation.

Dr. Trevor Dixon, MD, RDMS, a Jamaican-American physician based in New York, was awarded membership in the Order of Distinction in the rank of Officer (OD) as part of the 2025 National Honours and Awards list.
This recognition was conferred by Governor General Sir Patrick Allen on the advice of Prime Minister Dr. Andrew Holness, with the honours taking effect from Independence Day.
He received the award for his significant contributions to healthcare and education through the Jamaicans Abroad Helping Jamaicans at Home Foundation (Jah Jah), which he founded and leads.
His work focuses on improving Jamaica’s health and social services, particularly through initiatives like the Jamaica Hand-Held Ultrasound Project (JHUP), which aims to provide rapid bedside diagnostics in Jamaican hospitals.
