Scripturally although concubines existed, which is a woman not with the status of a wife. From the times of Moses, Jacob and Noah sex itself was recognised as the act of marriage. Only performed with love. Creating an union between the man and woman. It is my over standing that concubines is a result of the promiscuousness of the human and was not the Creators true nor initial purpose for us. The feasts have been an accident way of celebrating the union and the feasts along with other forms of celebration is what we know as the wedding. In this society it is necessary to have a marriage certificate and wedding ring. Because just like marriage true law is held in high regards with the Almighty. True marriage can not be broken and originally there was no need for a ring or paper evidence but due to mans ever going devious mind it became vital to demonstrate your love with a ring. Which is symbolic of the union, the ring representing the vagina and the finger the penis. Showing that they have become one and are perpetually in oneness through Christ.
