Liberation Day Celebration: Homeage to Negusa Nägast ze’Ithiopa

Liberation Day in Ethiopia a national holiday.  War veterans come to Addis Ababa to pay homage to Our Imperial Majesty, Emperor Haile Selassie I, who led them to victory from fascist Italy.  In Ethiopian Life, the Imperial Ruler is likened in splendor to the Sun, an exalted power to the lion, in his Divine being to the kings of Israel and at times, to God himself.
