Ethiopia ― Making history in Addis Ababa: Ethiopia and Eritrea meet for first talks in two decades

Ethiopia on Tuesday welcomed the first delegation of top officials from longtime rival Eritrea for the first time in two decades for peace talks, with Ethiopia’s Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed declaring that the separation between the neighbors “is shattered down.” Advisor to Eritrea’s President, Mr. Yemane Gebreab on his part said ‘an unfortunate history of the two countries is just closed and a new one has just been begun.
