RECAP: 5th Annual Free Health Fair Haile Selassie High School 2023

Monday, January 16th, 2023 was a great success for Haile Selassie High School in St. Andrew Jamaica as we held our 5th annual Free Health Fair. This was the ULTIMATE CHALLENGE as we had only 6 weeks to plan this fair. The event was sponsored by SITEMEDIA, Rastafari TV Network, and JAHJAH Foundation, and was made possible by the generous donations and support of vendors and sponsors.

The fair was a huge success, with hundreds of students and community members in attendance. Attendees were able to receive free health screenings, dental care, OBGYN, eye exams, mental health screenings, and HIV testing, and information was provided about various health topics. The fair also featured free refreshments and lunch as well as Ethiopian clergy from the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo church who joined in the morning devotion to inspire and uplift the youth.

The Free Health Fair is an important event for the school and community and is a testament to the power of collaboration and community support. Thanks to the hard work and livication of all involved, the fair was a huge success and will continue to benefit the school and community for years to come.
