Hindus in Jamaica? Many of us– myself included– didn’t even realize they were Hindus in Jamaica when I was growing up and I am a West-Indian Hindu. In this video I will show you the SURPRISING connection between Bob Marley, Rastafari, and Hinduism. Hindus played a surprising role in shaping Rastafari beliefs and it’s something that you usually don’t hear about. The Hindus that were brought to Jamaica did help to shape the culture of that country and we should all recognize their contribution to to the culture of Jamaica.
