‘Rebels outta Vienna’ is a documentary film about the Viennese Reggae scene and its divergent interdependence with the Afro-Caribbean Rastafari movement. The film explores local peculiarities in the context of global sounds and worldviews. It provides an intimate insight into views and narratives and thus contributes to the audiovisual archiving of the Austrian capital’s music and cultural history. The film features Austrian-based artistes Rekall, Professa of the Iriepathie crew, Coalman, Thera P., and Tina of the Conseptagons.
