2015 JAHJAH Foundation’s Mission For Change Jamaica
Highlights from JAHJAH Foundation’s Mission for Change 2015, January 18 – 24, 2015. We were very busy during this week, helping Jamaica with healthcare and other issues, in keeping with our overall mission.
Some of the things we did include: Ultra sound conference, Knutsford Court Hotel, Kingston; Healing in the Dancehall at Uptown Mondays, Savannah Plaza, Kingston; Pediatric Cancer Conference, in association with Columbia University In The City of New York and Bustamante Hospital for Children, Knutsford Court Hotel, Kingston; One Love, One Heart, Health Checks, CPR training, and lectures on good nutrition for athletes from St. Jago High School, Vere Technical High School, GC Foster College, and St. Andrew Technical High School, done in collaboration with Team Jamaica Bickle at Knutsford Court Hotel, Kingston; Completing and participating in handing over ceremony for Wellness Suite at Hanbury Home, Manchester; and conducting all-day Health Fair at Ulster Spring Clinic, Trelawny. We were guests of Team Jamaica Bickle at the launch event for Jamaica Stock Exchange’s 10th annual wealth and investment expo, where some of our members had a photo op with Prime Minister Portia Simpson-Miller. Some of our members also had photo ops with Jamaican reggae artistes Beenie Man, Bounty Killer, Nesbeth, and Richie Stephens during Healing in the Dancehall at Uptown Mondays.
A special thank you to all our volunteers, who worked tirelessly to make our mission a success. And a big thank you to Tropical Blue Natural Spring Water, our Jamaican sponsor.
This video is intended to give an overview of our mission at work. Thank you for supporting us, as we help to improve healthcare in Jamaica.
