Caribbean Fashion Week is a major mash up of Fashion- Dance- Style and soo much more. An active week for everyone in the Arts- Fashion and Entertainment.
BUT, I wanted to go behind the scenes of this whole blow up on the Skin Bleaching and Artificially enhancing your Curves.
Why is it such a big deal about coloured women lightning their skin? while other cultures are doing the opposite- Tanning their skins. Why such a big push now on “regulating” skin lighting cremes? Should they do the same on Tanning?
I think on one hand its a topic to bring to light for young girls who are into fashion and style to learn more about, yet on the other hand the plain Bias tactic that media is playing is coming from white media once again. So lets explore this issue via this video from 2012 Caribbean Fashion Week by VICE TV.
Please leave your comments, suggestions and truly express how you feel about skin toning. Do you lighten your skin or do you darken your skin? Why?
